Breast cloth, based on a cecempakan geringsing design, handwoven from a warp of commercially spun maroon cotton yarn, dyed in artificial dyestuffs, the main design in weft ikat of beige, brown and maroon yarn which may be homespun. Design consists of repeating pattern of discrete motifs, chiefly of lozenges, with four repeat bands across the length of the cloth. To either side of this and separated from it by a narrow dark brown strip, a further panel of discrete motifs in a slightly darker colour, with another band of three strips of smaller motifs at each end, finishing with a band of dentate shapes.
