Kite, wau jalal budi, on a bamboo frame with a central spine, covered overall with paper and decorated with coloured paper cut designs . The kite is pointed at the front, with one wide wing ending in points at each side and a tail section. The bamboo point at the front is decorated with a tassel made of strips of red paper, the tail with two tassels made of similar strips of paper. The decorative layer of paper is chiefly around the edges of the wing and tail sections, and consists of stylised floral and foliate motifs. The middle of the kite is of plain yellow paper, with plain white in the area between this and the decoratiive borders.
