Wooden horse whip of the Kazak people, covered in red lacquer to which has been attached several lengths of leather on one side by leather strips bound at intervals. These are bound together with leather below the end of the rod and have then been split and plaited to almost the end, leaving a tassel. A handle has been formed by plaited strips of leather at the top end of the rod, and the lower ends left free forming a fringe. The lower end of the rod is capped with brass.
