hat (clothing: headwear)

Woman's hat. Circular gently domed hat in red velvet with a black binding around the lower edge. From the rim hang four long plaits of balck wool, then a shorter plait which has been caught up at the end forming a short loop, then another plait which hangs down free but which is much shorter than the other four hanging plaits. Inner lining of red synthetic fabric formed of 6 traingular pieces. Solid framework underneath not visble.
