Bride’s waistcoat worn during wedding ceremonies. Black velvet with heavy embroidery on the facings and front hem: silver thread and sequins in red, white, green, gold and blue, and interspersed with small beads. The motifs are a vase and flowers, foliage and flowers. Lined with white cotton with a blue polka dot, and front panels of blue and white with a pattern of stars and petals. Front fastening of hooks and eyes. Home made, perhaps made in the Meros Craft Centre, Samarkand.
