422.211.2 (single) clarinets with cylindrical bore, with fingerholes

Clarinet in B flat, Symphony 1010 model. African blackwood (grenadilla) with silver-plated keywork, ferrules and tenon sleeves. Keys have leather pads. Boehm system fingering. Green felt covering on one bumper pad. Cross hatch etching on lower joint upper little finger key. Four pieces excluding mouthpiece, which is missing. Cork lapped tenons. Barrel stamped: B &.../LONDON/1010; Upper joint stamped: SYMPHONY/B&H/1010; Lower joint stamped: MADE IN ENGLAND; Bell stamped: SYMPHONY/BOOSEY & HAWKES/LONDON/1010; These inscriptions are highlighted in gold paint, and the barrel, upper joint and bell inscriptions incorporate a globe and musical note motif. The serial number 539123 is stamped on the reverse of the upper and lower joints.
