Outer basket of a kerera (fish basket) made of two baskets for keeping the catch while looking for more fish.

A basket with a square base and a round rim, formed of wide strips of plant fibre woven together in a plait weave. The rim is formed of a thicker piece of cane with thinner pieces of plant fibre sewn over it. It has a length of twisted plant fibre attached to the rim as a handle.
