A man's loincloth made from cotton and dyed with synthetic dyes. The weaver is Eu Dane. The textile is made in two unequal halves (two kene). These are sewn together at one selvedge. The fabric is mainly warp-faced ikat. At the shorter sides red and yellow weft threads have been twined to form a chevron border. The ends of the warp are twisted to form a fringe. The ikat bands with larger motifs are red and cream on a blue-black ground. The weaving has seven bands of main motif ('huri wo pidu'), alternating with six bands containing a smaller motif. The ikat pattern bands are framed with a band of thin coloured lines on a red ground, and a narrow band with ikat dots. At the selvedges forming top and bottom of the cloth the ikat band has four borders. These are overall bordered by a toothed band.
