vase (household miscellany)

One of a pair of Japanese cloisonne vases. Round brass circular base, main body rounded and ceramic. The base colour is brown, decorated with swirls. Around the base there are different coloured patterns (turquoise, yellow, orange, red, lilac, black and white). Three main panels of decoration on the main body. These are darker brown, with a gold glitter effect. They are decorated with blue and white flowers, and green and red leaves. Around the neck is a circular panel, decorated in the same way as the previous panels. The vase has a long narrow neck, and the decorations on this are divided into two. Each section decorated with alternate blue and yellow panels, separated with red lines, containing yellow and white flowers. The top of the neck has a brass border and inside the vase it is blue.
