Trapezoid horse blanket consisting of a brown twill-woven woollen textile decorated with red, orange and blue embroidery. The textile is surrounded by a lattice-patterned border. A macramé fringe surrounds the wider back half. Both back corners are additionally decorated with a braided cord which ends in coloured tassels. The horse blanket is lined with brown felt. The top is sewn together from 12 strips, and secured to the lining with blue machine stitching. The embroidery consists of 5 circular motifs, and a foliate vine border. The seams of the woven border to the embroidered border, and the macramé fringe are hidden by orange and red braids. The blue macramé border is finished with red knotting and tassels wrapped with gold-coloured metal-wrapped thread.
