Turon mask, made of wood covered with hair. The eyes are metal discs, and the two horns are real ram or goat horns. The mouth flap is operated by a string, and it is supported on a wooden rod.

This mask represents Turon, a creature from Polish mythology. Turon appears during festivals held at Christmas and is associated with fertility in some regions. This Turon mask is covered with animal skin, probably goatskin. It is topped with real goat or ram horns and has eyes made from metal discs. The hinged lower jaw is operated by a cord. This mask would have been worn with a costume that concealed the wearer.
