Large, rectangular cream-coloured barkcloth decorated with stencilled patterns. The textile has been pasted from several smaller sheets. The decoration consists of a centre panel surrounded by 10 borders containing black or brown motifs on a cream ground or cream motifs on a coloured ground. The panel contains two rectangles separated by a band of floral motifs. This is framed by narrower bands containing a small repeat pattern. Similar bands further divide the rectangles into triangles containing single motifs, repeating in opposing shapes. A semi-circular motif appears in both rectangles. Some of the motifs contained in the borders are repeated. These include the floral motifs halving the panel, repeats of small slanted x-shapes, and repeats of squares divided into triangles. The outer two borders contain what looks like a pikot and a dentate edge.
