Stem of the kaagu fern (Bedamuni: kaagu). A rolled up piece of stem of the kaagu fern. The stem is further processed by splitting and scraping, to make the dark material used in plaiting upper arm bracelets (nabu) such as 1982.7i-1982.7iii and 1982.76i-1982.76iv. The stem is usually kept in this rolled up condition and fixed with a thorn, before further processing.
