lime gourd

Possibly non-functional, lime gourd constructed from an egg-shaped, bottle gourd which has been decorated with spirals and hatching. The opening of the gourd at the top is fitted with a woven cane plug with rolled leaves, in to which is set a pig’s tusk.

There does not appear to be any way that this can now be opened. It seems likely that this was a souvenir.
