Wooden splint comb with splints secured by basketry and wood, nautlis shell inlay set in parinarium nut resin, and basketry at the base with a cord attachment.
Comb ornament of separate sticks bound with fibre and consolidated with putty, blackened and inlaid with pearlshell. Combs of this type are characteristic of southeast Solomon Islands, particularly Makira and Ulawa but also south Malaita.
