Painted wooden mask of a cross-eyed character Petruk, with a large blunt nose with two apertures for nostrils. The mask has a black painted moustache which curls at the ends, two gold buck teeth and a pointed chin with a small painted black beard. His hair is painted black and carved in strands at either side of his face. There is the edge of a headdress painted green and yellow and white at the top of the head, with a triangular flap hanging down in the middle. There are apertures below his eyes, which are painted red, pink, white, black and grey. Between his eyes is a round black and gold dot with a small triangular element above it. Marked on the inside CRFT 00027. Made for the tourist trade.
