Miniature teapot of bulbous form with a long spout and two loop handles, covered with a lid surmounted with a loop handle, affixed to a saucer-shaped stand with low foot and recessed base. The body is a fine but gritty buff stoneware, covered with pale greyish green glaze. Underside of lid, mouth rim, foot ring and base unglazed.
Belonged to the aunt of the donor, a missionary in China in the early twentieth century. Presented to the museum by Mr J. Davies. Dated to the 13th century by the Victoria and Albert Museum
