plate (food service)

One of six all purpose plates (1991.29 – 1991.34), tinned pewter with a copper finish, with engraved designs around the rim. It is shallow, with a flat base and an irregular trim around the rim. Concentric circles around the base, repaired around the base and rim. Six motifs, three plus three, around the everted rim; three are possibly poppies on a stem and three perhaps cotton balls. With two parallel lines around the outer rim. Lathe turned.
