Reed boat made from two large bundles of reeds, side by side, coming to a point at both ends and curving up to form the prow and bow. On top of this are two smaller bundles with a space between them, creating an area in which the user would sit. On top of these at one end are two flat pieces of wood, one on either side, each with a square indentation in. It is all held together with plaited plant fibre.
These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
