Long waistcoat heavily embroidered in green, blue and black. The garment is sewn together from 6 sections of cream felted fabric: two back panels joined with a vertical seam down the middle, two side panels and a further two narrow vertical strips which run along the front opening at either side. The twill woven textile has been fulled and heavily embroidered on front and back. The armholes are decorated with embroidery in a brighter green, and the neck opening is edged with green piping. At either side of the rear seam and the upper part of the front strips at the opening the cream cloth has been left unembroidered. The most striking elements of the embroidery are three motifs, arranged vertically, at either side at the front. The rest is so dense that the motifs can barely be discerned.
