mask (dance & live theatre)

Mask of Garuda, Vishnu's mount, made from clay, cotton, glue and paper, which is painted. Eagle form, with the beak painted yellow with a black outline, and eyebrow in green, black and white. Overall it has a red complexion, with protruding eyes. The eyes have black pupils with white, green, and black eyelashes. A protruding tika is painted in red, green, and white between the eyes. In the centr eof the forehead is the third eye, which is vertical, and painted in black, white, and red.

The crown features a headband with three circular faces, painted white with black and red features, with two outer discs of red on white. The crown is flat crown, and dark green with three hemispheres and 'teardrops' with 'question marks' in yellow green and brown. Disc earrings are painted in white lines with dots.
