Crocodile Zither. A zither of red-brown wood, much blackened, in the form of a crododile. Holes for four pegs, laterally, in the tail and one vertically just short of the table. Green glass eyes in the head. The remaining peg simple and pear-shaped. Slot in the belly almost end to end. Metal arched anchorage for strings at neck. Much splitting at the tail. The table split and repaired. Strings and all pegs but one missing. Some fittings also missing from table.
