snuff box

An oval snuff box with a flat base and lid. The lid has a hole in its centre, possibly to attach a piece of cord to. The lid and base are made of dark red bark. There is a label affixed to the object, with another label covering it which can be peeled back. Both labels read "A snuff box date 1828/Russian wood and work". There is another label affixed to the underside of the container, with "28" printed in large bold characters.
