321.321-5 Necked bowl lutes sounded with the bare fingers

Sarasvati vina, four pegs for playing strings (one broken) + 3 cikari strings.
Sounding length 800mm. Hemispherical back made of one piece of wood, the shoulder and the back of the neck with wooden flanges.The peg-box surmounted by the finely-carved head of a dragon (yāli). Four large pegs (one broken) of turned wood for the main strings. Three pegs at the side of the neck for the side strings strings (tāla) that run over three individual ivory nuts (one missing). A metal mount with screw for an upper resonator is attached to the top of the neck. Twelve surviving raised metal frets are fixed to a ledge at each side of the neck (eleven other frets are missing). Trestle-shaped wooden bridge for the main strings. (The bridge for the tāla strings is missing.) The inferior string-holder is a wooden block extending from the resonator. It is faced with ivory.
