Timeline, framed and glazed, chronicling Boosey & Hawkes corporate history from 1792 to 1930. Paper print in black frame with glass front. Two steel hooks on upper rail for hanging purposes.
This whimsically illustrated timeline of Boosey & Hawkes, titled 'How Boosey got his Hawkes', flags up key events in the firm's history. It was displayed in the Boosey & Hawkes factory museum and the artwork appeared in Boosey & Hawkes product catalogues during the 1970s and 1980s. Notable events in the 20th century included the devastation of the Stanhope Place factory in Marble arch by fire in 1913 and the firm's merger with Hawkes & Son in 1930. Fire wreaked havoc on Boosey & Hawkes again in 1976 at its Edgware factory.
