Rectangular tobacco box with rounded corners and a hinged lid. The lid and base are made of brass, and the sides are of copper. The lid and base have beaten designs with inscriptions on the lid in German and on the underside in old Dutch. The lid has a depiction of a huntsman attacking a boar with his spear, while a dog attacks the boar. The inscription on the lid translates more or less as:' Noble [?] hunting [?] is truly beautiful and [I am] satisfied when I conquer the deer and [boar?] by my own hand.' On the underside there is a central medallion presumably depicting Prince Wilhelm in a roundel, with scenes to left and right. Around the roundel is the inscription 'Wilhelm ERS Prins'. The scene on the left depicts ships and the figure of Death carrying a sickle. The scene on the right is unclear. The inscription translates, more or less, as 'Unity in the States; Unity in the Mind [or Spirit]; Unity in Trade; that is a Good Start'. Signed 'Eecker fecit'.
