arrow (hunting, fishing & trapping)

Arrow, shaft of arrow reed (Gynerium sagittatum, called 'waiwu') in one piece, with a wood arrow head bound into the shaft with krawa fibre. The head has been resharpened, so there are more barbs on one side than the other. The flight is of two opposed radial feathers bound at both ends and some points between with krawa fibre, and decorated with smaller feather tufts. The end is notched and bound with krawa fibre in a criss-cross pattern. The flight feathers have been attacked by insects.
