Monk's spade or moon-tooth spade, 'yue ya chan', of steel with a long tapering socket fitted to a long wooden shaft. Crescent-shaped blade with two up-curving ends, two brass plates in the shape of bats with incised details hanging down from both ends of the spade. The spade is set in a tapering conical socket with five holes in the middle section, possibly for tying tassels. Possibly for ceremonial use.
