Smock. Cut out from straight pieces of material in such a way as not to waste a single bit of material. The sleeve is gathered at the neck, with a flounce round the wrist. The smock is done up at the back and tied together by 'ceutori' (tape). The skirt of the smock has additional gussets let in at the waist and is joined to the top by keystitch in red cotton or wool. Geometrical designs adorn the collar, the sleeve above the elbow, the edge of the flounce and its puckers and, as a characteristic feature of this district, the 'ciupag' (vets) which consists of a trapezoid portion below the collar, formed by equally spaced puckers, embroidered over with decorative designs. Length: 117 cm; Length of sleeve: 74 cm. (Homespun hemp, purchased cotton thread).
