Stage in the manufacture of a tablet-woven banding. The multicoloured cotton warp is threaded through parchment tablets bundled into 5 small packs tied with string. The warp between this and the small wooden warp rod is tied into a loose knot. The two sections of textile are of unequal length, and separated by a short section of unwoven warp. The centre contains 2 differently decorated sections consisting of a black stripe decorated with cream framed by green stripes decorated in orange. They are framed overall with narrow stripes in cream, black, green, yellow, orange and violet. The section containing smaller patterns and motifs is framed by sections decorated with fine bands.
