Clarinet in D, in five sections. Barrel, upper and lower joints of light brown wood, bell is a darker colour. Mouthpiece, of dark brown wood with leather lip-pad, is probably not original. Fourteen German silver keys of modern design, mounted on pillars, including duplicate E flat/B flat, hinged F/C key. Although the clarinet is marked as in D, it sounds a tone lower than the English D of the period in which it was made. Stamped: Albert, Brussels.
