Bassoon, stained brown wood (possibly maple), brass mounts. Nine brass keys, flat, oval, mounted in saddles (low E flat for left fourth finger. C sharp for left fourth finger with cover-plate on butt. Two keys on wing for left thumb. Key-guard with diamond side-openings and plain face. Tuning-hole in bell. Two interchangeable wings. Two bass joint keys on a platform formed in the body. Crook probably original. Overall length is 128.3 cm. Length of wing and butt is 90.7 cm. In fitted wooden case, baize-lined. Reed case, lacking cap, of later date. Stamped: H. Grenser Dresden (Crown mark).
