10 small whole sperm whale teeth, pierced and strung together into a necklace using coconut fibre.

Sisi. Oval label with blue border “E-P Coll. Fiji Necklace”. Ten small complete whales teeth, on plaited coir cords which criss-cross over the top of each tooth. Some of the cords are now damaged and fragile. 5 of the teeth are pierced at the tip, and others with extra holes around the butt. Old label with “0.114”. Possibly reassembled from a series of original small tabua. Longest tooth= 11.5cm, and that tooth has its tip chipped.
