Carved wooden shrine in three sections: base, lid and insert to hold figure. The shrine is of rectangular terrace form surrounded by railing, stands on raised platform with sides deeply carved with two bands of upright and pendent lotus petals, and in between them a band of chrysanthemum flower heads and foliage. The lid is ornately carved in high relief with three dragons on front above sea waves, flower sprays and mountain rock designs, a faceted glass inset at centre. The sides are decorated with five bats amidst cloud scrolls. The bottom has sea waves and mountain rock designs and a phoenix amidst cloud scrolls on top. The back is plain.
