Painted figure of a seated saint, Sthavira Kanakavatsa, bald or shaven, pale yellow complexion; large ears and spots (black, red and green) either on his bare chest or on undergarment. Right arm raised straight out diagonally upwards to the side, left hand on knee. Holds a brown rope / snake threaded with ‘beads’ between his two hands. Dressed in a red robe with blue trim around the neck and chest and green [illeg.] elsewhere? One white boot(?) is visible. On a square seat of two cushions: green over blue. Inscription 'gnas brtan gser gyi be’u' meaning 'Sthavira Kanakavatsa ', the name of the saint depicted.
