Figure of Maitreya (painted clay). Standing male figure on a lotus throne; in relief against a plaque on a base. White skin, blue hair- loose and in a top knot. Dressed in a blue animal skin over his left shoulder and knotted at the waist. Green scarf around arms and legs, loincloth of red trimmed with blue; bodhisattva’s jewels; right hand is turned out. Two inscriptions, reading: “BYAMPSA” [i.e. Maitreya]. H:210 mm
