Khanda type fighting sword from the Deccan. The blade is braced with substantial ‘trunking’, which widens at the hilt to form the guard. Pommel of two discs surmounted by a fluted dome.

This sword is relatively high status.

Such swords may have been worshiped in ceremonies as part of the Navarati festival.
