Carrying band for head, or burden strap. Four lengths of plaited string extend from both ends of central rectangle with blue and white woven pattern. The four plaits converge into one which is knotted at the end. See neg. no. 5603.
Most headslings have four cords uniting to form the main bands. Headslings with three cords are reserved for the dead.
