Model of a meat crate made from wood, string and bark. A strip of wood bent to form an oval frame, with loops made of strips of reindeer skin passing through apertures at the edges on one side, through which a length of string is passed, which then criss-crosses the side. On the other side of the frame, lengths of string and supple twigs perform the same function, thereby enclosing a representation of meat formed of sheets of birch bark. There is a loop for suspension made of strip of reindeer skin at top.
