bowl (food service)

Flat, circular bowl with an engraved rim depicting interlocking scroll motifs which are inlaid with white lime. On the back, a raised lug is left and pierced through to permit the attachment of a suspension loop for hanging the platter up when not in use. The bowl has split right across at some point in its history and been glued together with an epoxy resin. In the middle of the bowl there is a corner cut label glued which reads “Basilisk sound Sd Giba / food bowl”.
