Left shoe of a pair of woman's bound foot ankle-length boots of Northern style, with pointed and upturned toes. It has a purple silk upper embroidered with floral and insect designs at the vamp, and edged with ribbon, couched gold foil, and a band of pale blue silk with floral embroidery. A back flap of light green and cream cotton extends from the ankle. It has a wooden wedge heel covered with white cotton on the side, and light green cotton on the underside, with floral embroidery at the centre. It is lined with white cotton.
