Container designed like a book, containing 42 mounted casts of cameos of characters from Greek legend. The box is made of wood and covered with red leather. The cameos are made of plaster or clay and decorated with gold leaf. It is Volume II in a set by Federico Dolce. See also nn6346, which is Volume III, and nn6598, the accompanying catalogue.
