Teapot of copper alloy with movable handle, irregularly shaped, and lid. Pot bulges out towards base. Surface of pot has rough texture with raised decoration of mountain, sun or moon, gate of shrine or temple, pine trees and shrine buildings. Water stains on the inside indicate that this has been used. Smooth polished lid with knob. Inscription on inside of lid gives maker's name in old style script 'Ryu-mon-dou' (and 'zou' = make). 215 h (with handle raised) x 173 w x 145 d.
