6 identical rectangular samples of woven cotton textile. Seemingly taken from a larger piece of cloth. The main field comprises an orange chequered pattern made up of regular narrow stripes on a brown/purple ground. A small motif is in the centre of some of the squares (discontinuous supplementary weft). The border is composed of a red and yellow zigzag pattern (twill woven) interspersed with narrow tabby stripes.
