Hat made of rectangle of indigo-dyed cotton fabric gathered at top to form crown. Applique strips of fabric applied horizontally with machine stitching. From crown 5 tassels hang, 4 of orange fabric strips interwoven with beads, the other formed of similar grey beads interspersed with brown seeds. Also from crown a bunch of feathers in a variety of colours and a tuft of fur. 2" below crown are 2 bunches of tassels linked by 6 strings of beads. Along lower edge of hat a row of tiny white beads beneath regularly spaced embroidered motifs at front (?) and row of buttons at back (? or vice versa). To each side a bunch of beaded tassels. 9" H (without tassels).
