Jacket. Body made of single length of indigo-dyed cotton fabric folded over at shoulders and cut to form front opening, of which edges are bound in red fabric. Lower portion of back of jacket decorated with horizontal bands of applied fabric and embroidery, also groups of buttons and row of buttons at lower edge. At top of this decorative panel to right and left is a bundle of tassels formed of beads and some of seeds of Job's tears. The sleeves are formed of further rectangles of same fabric with bands of plain applique strips of coloured fabris. Small piece of pink silk at nape of neck. Traces of printed lettering on sleeve fabric. Only edge showing but may be Chinese script. H660 W (inc sleeves) 1413.
