Woman's apron. Handwoven cotton cloth in plain weave, warp and weft both of white cotton.The patterning directly resulting from the weaving consists of horizontal ornamental bands alternating with geometrical motifs, which are arranged surrounding a rhombus centre, rows of cross shapes and stylised flowers. In between these are simple black bands. The decoration is entirely of black cotton. The technique is 'picked across the threads'. Length = 80 cm
