A woman's embroidered headband in plain blue satin with black satin borders. The borders are decorated with a meandering floral motif of white and red flowers, which are realised with shiny white and red beads, to give the appearance of pearls and coral. The stems and leaves are worked in couched gold-coloured metal-wrapped thread. Narrow green and pink strips have been applied where the black and blue satin fabrics join, and the edges of the headband are trimmed with a black and gold fabric, possibly a fretwork pattern. The headband is lined with pink tabby woven cotton textile and is secured to the head with a blue braided fastener.
