Model rug, probably home-made, in the form of Berlin wool work in a multi-coloured floral design, probably from a purchased pattern, on a loosely-woven canvas backing. Along the edges of the rug the wool work, in varying shades of pink and brown, is raised to form a border. The canvas has been stiffened and the rug backed with blue paper.
