Prayer wheel. Wooden handle, silver wheel. Handle tapers off from middle towards ends, three circling incisions in the middle and two at the top end. Arches inwards before rising into a short, rounded bulge, topped by a short cap. main handle of dark wood separated from lighter, thinner section by round, slim, white-gray stone slab. Wheel attached to light wooden section, flat base. Rows of stylised lotus petals, one on each rim and two in the middle. Two wide relief panels circle between rims and middle section, filled with carved decorative features and ibetan script. In middle section a hook, to which is attached a chain of hoops connecting to multi-sided square weight. Whell has a flat top carved with an open lotus, in the middle of which rises another lotus in relief on a round pedestal with shorter diameter than the top. From the middle of pedestal emerges thin bar holding small, thin, open umbrella with another lotus in relief on top. Bar topped by large, closed lotus bud incised with leaves and petals. 310h x 85w x 85d.
